Community Manager

GameDev
Client Description

Our client is one of the largest gaming companies in the international market, specializing in midcore and casual games.
Task

The company required a Community Manager fluent in English, capable of understanding the needs and interests of Western players. The challenge was compounded by the necessity for the candidate to be a native speaker to better grasp the audience's culture and preferences.
Key requirements

  • Native-level proficiency in English, enabling confident and effective communication in a professional environment.
  • Experience in hyper-casual or casual mobile games, with a deep understanding of their specifics and requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the gaming industry, demonstrating a high level of competence and readiness to tackle complex tasks.
Process

Initially, classic cold outreach methods were employed, but results were minimal. Given the challenges of international recruitment, where early-stage funnels can be quite narrow, it was decided to post the position on international job boards frequented by gamedev candidates, such as GamesJob, Reddit, and Indeed.
Result

Successfully filled the company's need for a highly qualified foreign Community Manager through LinkedIn, enabling the identification of the ideal candidate who met all requirements and was prepared to make a significant contribution to the project's international development.
