Task
The company was working on an ambitious feature film project inspired by a famous folklore character, who holds a significant place in the culture of Eastern and Mediterranean peoples. For this task, an experienced 3D Environment Artist was needed, with deep knowledge and practical experience in Unreal Engine, to create unique and authentic visual worlds for the film.

- At least 3 years of experience as an Environment Artist, with successful projects in the portfolio.
- Proficient skills in Unreal Engine, including environment creation and texturing.

Process
To find a suitable candidate, we utilized various platforms for portfolio showcasing, such as Behance, Dribbble, and ArtStation, where we tracked the works of talented artists. Additionally, we conducted a detailed review of the credits of reference animation projects to identify artists who participated in their creation and find the most suitable specialists for our project.

During the search, we found a candidate who, at first glance, did not have experience working in Unreal Engine on game projects. His main work was related to modeling industrial objects, such as oil rigs and airplanes. However, it was his personal portfolio, created in Unreal Engine for himself, that caught the attention of our client’s team. This portfolio showcased his abilities and creative approach, which became the decisive factor in selecting the candidate to fill the vacancy.
